So, the console that the theatre I volunteer at? An FLX S24 by Vari-Lite. This console is perfect for first time users (like yours truly).
To power up the console, it’s very simple. Just plug in the power cable. Yep, that’s all you need to do. Now if you want to get it talking to your fixtures, make sure that you plug in your DMX cable. There are also some USB ports on the back, so you can load shows onto the console.
BE WARNED THAT THERE IS NO POWER OFF BUTTON - So, you’ll need to save your work before unplugging the console… Otherwise it’s goodbye show!
